"My Great Grandmother Biddy grew up 
in the Loogootee, Perry Township area 
of Martin County . Her family (Farrells) 
also had ties in Daviess County . 

Bridget told my mother that the young 
woman in the picture was her best friend 
growing up, and her name was Catherine,
 but did not tell her last name.  
If she was a Catherine, there are several
in the area that she could have been. 
She probably was approximately the 
same age as Bridget, since Bridget stated 
she grew up with her. 

My best guess is she might be 
Catherine Ward born c. 1882, the daughter
 of Thomas and Caroline Ward.  They lived close 
to the Farrells in 1900. The families I listed 
all had a Catherine born c. 1880 or so.
